Summer hair and makeup!

Hello Lovelies!

There is nothing I love more than a dewy finish with my makeup. I just feel that it makes my skin look healthy and more radiant. I wear this look all year round but in the summer months I go a bit overboard and smother myself in highlighter. In summer I strip back to basics and try to keep my makeup as natural or as natural looking as possible. It is also the season for messy hair and embracing your inner Vanessa Hudgens.

I love this look as it is quick and effortless for days out and for festivals. The key to this hair style is the messier the better. I always tend to tease the plaits and rough them up a bit just to give them a bit of texture. The best thing is wear them for one day, sleep in them over night and then the next day you will have textured waves, so two hair styles in one. 

Why not add a hair accessory to festival it up? Flower crowns are the traditional festival go to accessory. If you have tons of spare time over the summer like I have then why not try and make one of your own, stand out from the crowd, be unique. I made this one a few weekends ago from a tutorial on Pinterest and was surprised how quick and easy they were to make!

Kidecals Chalkboard label review

Back in January the lovely company Kidecals contacted me and asked if I would review one of their products. Kidecals are an online company from the US who sell labels for almost anything you could think of. They have a range of designs from colourful vibrant patterns to simple layouts. You can also personalise your labels with your name or initials depending on what you need them for. One product stood out to me and they were the keycals, unfortunately they are only made for Apple mac computers so it was pointless for me to purchase one, as all I would do is gaze at it lovingly and cry about not having an Apple mac for it to look pretty on. Kidcals gave me a $22 voucher to spend on their site, and this is what I bought!

Chalkboard label Pack of 12 / $10*

 I purchased the Chalkboard label in the cloud design. Now you're all probably thinking why didn't she get anything more colourful?, well the magic behind these labels is that they are like a chalkboard, with one simple wipe of water the writing comes off the labels. I think this is an amazing feature as it allows me to change what I can put in each container without trying to rip the sticker off (these things have the holding power of superglue I swear). This pack of 12 labels cost $10 dollars, which when ordering I thought was a bit over priced, but only when you see them in the flesh you realize the quality. They come in 2 sizes: 3 inch (x6) and 4 inch (x6) which is great when you have different sized, in my case, pots and jars you want to label. Below are examples of what I have used my labels for. The only thing I could fault is the delivery charge as I wanted to buy more but had to use the remaining voucher money on delivery.

 They recommend writing on them with chalk or chalk ink. I used a white gel pen which worked just as well and wipes away just as well (as shown below)

Hello you beautiful people! It's been far too long since I've made a post for you all! I got carried away with the stress of A levels, but i'm back and I thought I'd give you all something a little different today, I'm not usually an OOTD kind of girl but I volunteered myself forward to be a model for my friend Britts (BrittsBazaar) Media project and University portfolio. I take no credit for the outfit as it was all styled beautifully by Britt, but I'd thought I'd share with you all what I'm wearing!

Festival OOTD - What should I wear?

Hi Everybody!

I don't usually do OOTDs but next weekend I'm going to a Festival and I've come up with a few outfit ideas which I want second opinions on and I'm leaving it to you lovely people to decide which one's I am going to wear.

All of the clothing items in these pictures (apart from the white cami) are from charity shops. A few outfits have been reworked so I'd love to hear what you think!

Hask Hair Goodie Bag!

A month ago I was fortunate enough to receive an email from a company in New York that were the makers of the Hask Argan Oil Healing Shine Treatment. They had told me they had read my review on the Healing Shine Treatment on my blog (you can find the post here) and wanted to send me a free goodie bag of other products they'd think I'd enjoy as a token of their appreciation. I was absolutely flattered that they had read the post and wanted to send me some free samples, so of course I didn't pass off the opportunity!

I've been dying to make this post since I got the email, and this Friday it finally arrived!!
I thought the packaging and presentation was really well done and thought through. The box looked like as if it was treasure chest and there were definitely some treasures inside! They put a straw type material in the bottom of the box which stopped the products moving around as much and in general added that little something special to the presentation.

Hask are looking to expanding their range in the future, so hopefully all these luscious treatments will soon be available on UK shores.
